Corona Virus and Loss of Business Income

I am getting a lot of questions surrounding concerns related to the virus. There is no property or loss of income coverage under the BOP that is triggered by this virus, or any illness.

Business Income, Business Income from Dependent Properties, and Civil Authority coverage's are all tied to & triggered by property coverage. Those coverage's apply when there is physical damage that interrupts the business operation. (The difference between the three is simply where the damage/loss occurs). In any event, the damage must be the result of a covered loss… and there are exclusions for virus, bacteria, and pollutants.

Loss of Income coverage never applies as a result of consequential losses such as illness, fear of illness, injury, inconvenience, etc.

I am sorry so many are feeling the effective's of this pandemic.
